Author Information
- Authors are required to have a completed Publication Release Form prior to submitting their article for review.
- For UCAH funded projects, please follow prepublication approval process.
- The U.S. Journal for Hypersonics is for Distribution C articles only.
- All pages must include banner markings in the header and footer, as shown in the template.
- Authors must use the provided Word manuscript template below.
- Articles do not have a page limit.
- Authors must adhere to the ethical standards outlined in the USJH Ethical Standards document.
- To be considered for publication into Issue No. 1 for the U.S. Journal of Hypersonics, Notice of Intent forms must be submitted by May 1st, 2025.
Author Process
Submission and Prereview (approximately 2 weeks)
- Author submits the Notice of Intent Form.
- Author completes the Publication Release Form for their Publication and formats the full article in the provided Word template.
- Author contacts [email protected] when documents are ready for upload.
- TEES emails author a secure enclave link for full article upload and Publication Release Form.
- TEES verifies the Publication Release Form and assigns an editor.
Review Cycles (approximately 32 weeks)
- Editor coordinates the Technical Review.
- Reviewers provide feedback and TEES coordinates with the editor to communicate feedback to the editor.
- Author can edit and resubmit OR rebut.
- Note: any changes made to the technical content of the article will trigger a restart of the process and require an updated Publication Release Form.
Decision and Postrevision
- TEES notifies author of publication decision. (approximately 2 weeks)
- Author submits final article with release form. (approximately 12 weeks)
Production and Publication
- TEES prepares for publication. (approximately 2 week)
- TEES uploads Issue No 1. of the U.S. Journal for Hypersonics to DTIC.
- Digital copies may be made available upon request.
Reviewer Information
Reviewers for the U.S. Journal for Hypersonics will be selected from UCAH Participants. Please complete the Reviewer Interest Form to be considered. If chosen to be a reviewer for an article, [email protected] will contact you with additional certification documents.
