Lockheed Martin (LM) has been supporting the Joint Hypersonic Transition Office (JHTO) which has engaged and funded academia to undertake hypersonic research projects through the University Consortium for Applied Hypersonics (UCAH). During the UCAH 2022 Fall Form, it was decided that industry would undertake the task of defining reference vehicles to inform university led research. The intent was to provide a basis for collaborative Industry/Academic research with realistic design relevance and a viable transition path to industry. LM has developed a parametric Boost-Glide configuration and Boeing has defined Air-Breather and Interceptor configurations. This presentation introduces the Boost-Glide reference vehicle and its usage.
