SAVE THE DATE: Scaling Hypersonics: Affordability, Research, and Production (SHARP) event

We are pleased to announce the inaugural Scaling Hypersonics: Affordability, Research, and Production (SHARP) event being held May 11-14, hosted by the Principal Director for Scaled Hypersonics (SHY) in collaboration with the Director of the Joint Hypersonics Transition Office (JHTO) and the Director of the Technology Industrial Base Assessments (TIBA).

This premier event merges the annual Hypersonics Government Industry Engagement Event (HGIEE) and the Joint Hypersonics Transition Office (JHTO) University Consortium for Applied Hypersonics (UCAH) Spring Forum into a single, comprehensive program.

Focus
The SHARP event will focus on integrating and executing initiatives under the new Scaled Hypersonics (SHY) critical technology area, focused on fielding Mach 5+ hypersonic weapons en masse to strike targets with unmatched speed, precision, and survivability. Event topics supporting this focus include:

  • Innovating for affordability and manufacturability at scale.
  • Understanding adversary capabilities.
  • Conveying technical updates for current programs.
  • Infusing research and development into new initiatives.
  • Enhancing the capabilities of our current and future workforce.
  • Spreading awareness of the hypersonics defense architecture, including the Golden Dome ecosystem.

Audience
This event is designed for all levels of hypersonic professionals, with a focus on personnel working in government or industry leadership roles (e.g., executives, strategic/portfolio managers, chief engineers) and academic researchers.
